"Periodic Safety Inspection"??

What is this "Periodic Safety Inspection" that is part of motorcycle law? Here's the link http://home.ama-cycle.org/amaccess/l...t.asp?state=CA. For California, it says "random". Anyone know what that's about and how the process goes? Thanks!

I think it's referencing the state safety inspections although I don't know why it would say random for California unless y'all are allowed to just do it whenever you feel it necessary

Motorcycle laws - my State.

Wow, In Utah, I'm not required to have turn signals, eye protection, or a helmet. Also there are no restrictions on helmet speakers, maximum sound level and mufflers.

And of course the two most important ones: "Handgrips below shoulder height - Maximum of 15" above seat - Required by inspection regulations" and a passenger seat is required when carrying a passenger. Damn, I cannot have ape hangers
