Cool My new bike - V-star 650

Although my Ninja 250 was great for around town, I always found it cramped and buzzy out on the freeway. After much consideration, I sold it a couple of months ago and bought something quite different: a new zero-miles 2014 Yamaha V-Star 650 'Custom'. The price was quite good - about $2000 less than the MSRP for a new 2015.

I've had this V-star a month now, and just had a 4-hour ride on it yesterday. I have to say I find it very comfortable, much more so than my Ninja ever was. I sometimes see people writing that they think 'cruisers' are uncomfortable to ride any distance, have weak brakes, poor handling, etc. All I can say is, not for me. I'm really enjoying the 650 and plan to do more road trips before the crappy wet winter sets in.

The V-Stars are good bikes I've had two of them
the 650

And the 950

Although the two look the same they were quite different. One having shaft drive the other belt etc... They both were pretty comfortable on the highway

Sweet ride! How do you like the forward footpegs? Must be really comfortable on long cruises.
