Weird Cold Start Noise

Background info

Bike:
2012 Ninja 250 (European fuel injected)
600 miles on the nose
Went for 500 mile service monday and was fine

Whenever I start it from cold, and it's getting colder here, it occasionally makes a VERY loud, high pitched noise that oscilated very fast, almost like someone saying "loo loo loo loo loo loo loo" in a squeaky voice.

It happens at about 35mph, only when cold, pulling in the clutch does nothing, I have to drop down below 10mph or so for it to go, I first thought it was a police siren or something, as it first happened when I had to open the throttle to avoid someone reversing onto a main road and I thought I was being pulled over for speeding.

The simple answer would be to allow my bike to warm up, which I do for the most part, it's just concerning as to what it is.

I'll do that tomorrow! I havn't actually oiled the speedo cable before, that's a good guess!

I need some more wurth ptfe chain lube i'll pick up some light machine oil while i'm at it.

I think the garage thought I hadn't been oiling the chain from a remake the make about having done it for me, and I had to interject with the "Actually I use the dry teflon chain oil after every wet trip, it's good stuff"
