Couple questions, unrelated.

Just digging some info about super motards. I've been giving it some serious thoughts but I don't know what Im looking for. I need a resource place so I can figure out what I want or what I can have. I want a dirt bike (kawasaki/honda) with street tires thats legal to ride down the highway basically. Help please...............

And second,
Anyone have any info on this exhaust ? I know the guy is virtually killing his engine but Im more interested in that exhaust. Sounds so sexy.

Link to original page on YouTube.

Idiot...

I think the guy in the video thinks the "red area" on the "left gaugey thing-a-ma-bob" indicates the "power-band'...

Coolest 250 that Kawasaki makes, well beside our Ninjas.
I hope this will be my next bike. But I'd be happy with a used DRZ400SM.

biggest complaint I've read about with those are the same as the new 250. Not a wide enough swing-arm for super wide tires, and not sticky enough rubber in stock form.

both can be remedied with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II's

I wouldn't want to waste a nice set of Pirellis! I am gonna be taking short cuts, jumping curbs, and just being a complete hooligan if I ever get one. No need for sticky tires.

That is a nice looking bike but in my short research so far, I think I'm really liking this:

I don't see any lights or anything, wonder if those could be purchased. I like that kawi but the Ktm looks more like a dirt bike and thats the look I was shooting for.

I am sure you could make it street legal with a little work. And that bike would be sick!

KTM has multiple SMs that are street legal from the factory. But they are NOT cheap.

Ill let you know how the DRZ400SM is if I get it tomorrow. CROSS YOUR FINGERS this dude trades me for my KX450

That bike was not made for street riding and was probably meant to be rebuilt like a dirtbike/racebike (every 60-100 hours or so). If you're wanting a motard, look at either a DRZ400SM, the KLX250SF or find someone that's motarded an XR or DR 650. A Husqvarna SM610 wouldn't be a bad choice either.

You want a bike that was designed to be a dual sport and capable of maintaining highway speeds for extended periods without spending a boatload in maintenance. Remember to check your oil levels regularly as big thumpers tend to burn oil on long trips.

I do like those KTM's and its a shame about that bike not being for the highway.

More reading revealed Yamaha WR250S

Gets rave reviews, but again, that KTM.

KTM sells street ready supermotos. Ive looked into them. They are just to pricey for me.

I think there is a smaller one too.
