O wow, everything besides the Givi and the work pants looks mint. Accessory insurance should cover the Givi, right?

Ok, so today I was supposed to go on a group ride with my gf but I currently don't have a 2up capable bike. So instead we drove to the top of Mt Hamilton which is ****ing scary. Jesus that road is so much easier on a bike than it is in a car.

Then we tried to go see my bike and get the keys for it from Campbell's Towing. Well, **** that place. They said to open the gate it was going to cost me $97. Ok fine, I'll just let insurance deal with it then at least I can get my keys right?

**** no

This bitch tells me if I want my keys I still have to pay $97 and I can't take the key for the bike because they need the key to move it. I told her you don't need the key to move it, its not locked. She said its easier to move it with the key. Wtf, are you riding my ****ing bike? You should not be turning it on and you won't give me my keys which are right ****ing in your office? **** you bitch, ****ing ****. Super pissed about this place, buncha ass ****ing cock suckers. And storage is $65/day, and gotta pay $97 to take it out. ****ing bullshit seriously.

Anyway, I think I might go pick it up monday with a uhaul trailer or something, idk. ****ing assholes

Also, why crashing this bike sucked alot. I destroyed my new givi case, I just installed my new corbin seat, I just bought a new oil filter to put in it and it only had 3000mi

Ugh

On the freeway, I think the bike slid a good 20-30 feet and I ended up a good 20-30 feet farther down the road than my bike so must have slid a good bit on my leathers. I'm seriously amazed at how little damage there is, couldn't even see it in the pictures. My boots, I can't tell what scuffs were from before and after and my helmet never touched the ground which is pretty amazing when you think about it. I might still get a new one since I'd dropped it previously.

Just lesser souls taking advantage of others' misfortunes.

It always amazes me the chain reaction of nightmares that a second of distraction while riding can trigger.

Maybe you should try seeing what it takes to run one of those places before you start talking ****. Half those places are going broke under the regulations from the CHP, and have to deal with assholes going in and bitching about the prices. They weren't the idiot who wrecked the bike, they were the ones on call to come clean your mess up. If you don't like their rates, find your own towing company and call them when you have a wreck.

Anyway, what do you care? Let the insurance deal with it.

Learned my lesson the first time...
I always pay to get it towed to my house.

This way i can get all my stuff out of it.
But its kind of a gamble though, if i don't decide to keep it, due to damage i waste $100.

I have AAA, and I know they'll tow my car up to 100 mi for free (with the plan that I have). Anyone know their policy on bikes?

2) About Emergency Road Service
Vehicles and services covered under Basic, Plus or Plus RV Membership: Roadside Assistance means 24-hour assistance for minor mechanical first aid; battery service, tire change, out of fuel, lockout service, extricating and towing. Roadside Assistance will be provided to you when the vehicle you are either driving or riding in becomes disabled. The following types of vehicles are eligible for service:

Four-wheel motor-driven passenger vehicles (i.e. cars, vans and pick up trucks, including rented passenger vehicles) if those services can be safely delivered without using heavy duty equipment.
Dual rear wheel unloaded pickup trucks are provided all services except tire service.
Dual rear wheel campers and motor homes are covered for lockout, battery service and out of fuel services only. Additional services (such as towing and tire change services) are provided only if you have a Plus RV Rider Membership.

Vehicles covered under Plus RV:

Campers, motor homes, motorcycles, travel trailers, and boat and utility trailers (but only if loaded with boat or recreational vehicle such as ATV, dirt bike or jet ski).
Doesn't help now, but it could be a good option for the future...
