My story
Happy 2012 everyone.
I finally made the conscious effort this year to get myself a little ninja of my own. I've been trying the last few years to get my license, save up for a bike, gear, and enough courage to tell my folks my aspiration to ride a bike.... Fast forward 4 years and here I am! I got my bike long before I got my license, Jan 22, I got my ninja 250 2010 with only 970km (I sure hope it's broken in correctly) for $3700can. I then decided I need to take the basics and a qualified course... March 10-11... I did well, first time I got on a bike and rode it... I didn't drop it!!  A week later I got on the bike 30 min before my road test... It was 6degree celsius and windy... The schools bike had a very bad clutch, it was so bad, I had to open the clutch almost all the way before power was transferred from the engine to the wheels... Needless to say I didn't get the hang of it and almost laid the bike down! But the road test went well right after... A bit of an acceleration problem because of the clutch, passed with flying colors (and a runny nose, and cold toes) Finally got my registration and insurance *phew* and getting my bike in a few days!!! I'm so excited... Well that's my story! Have a safe and fun riding season, because I know I will! |
