Hello from Normal

Hi,

Just got my 2009 Ninja 250r last week and am super stoked. It's doesn't keep up with my friends zx6r but I never expected it to and we still have a good time riding. Plus, people who don't know what they're looking at can't tell the difference between our bikes. I live in the central Illinois area so while the scenery isn't the best, there is a lot of open roads with little traffic.

Here's me and my new (to me) bike.

Here's another one of just the bike. (Already posted this in the show off your bike thread, but figured I'll throw it up here too.)

I can't way to start making a few little visual modifications.

It's not so bad if you know what you want to do. There might not be a lot of places to waste money at, but I like the lack of traffic. I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and it's nice to not have to deal with traffic for once. I also do quite a bit of cycling and it's nice to get out and ride 100 miles and only see a hand full of cars.

I wanted the red originally, but the blue is growing on me. Just wish it was a little louder. When I ride with my friends I can't even hear my bike.

Couldn't resist got the bike after the DMV was closed on Friday and I couldn't make it on Saturday either so I had to wait until Tuesday.

Once I had my 250 parked next to my cousins zx-6r. Guy walks up, points to my cousins bike and asks if that was a 250! I was like

friend of my daughters came over last weekend on a 06 ZZR600,first thing he ask me,"is that a 600". Sitting side by side my 250 was taller than his but one look at the rear tire told it all.
