Took my yz-125 out today...

I haven't ridden it in several months since I got my Ninja... It handles like A$$ it just felt weird lol I love my ninja. I got the 125 to learn to ride in the dirt because I figured dirt is more forgiving than pavement I rode it for a couple of years before I upgraded and boy I am even more happy with my ninja than ever!!!

I use my dirt bikes to learn how to ride/learn different techniques, then transfer over what I've learned to the ninja. It's made me a much better street rider.

You don't want to be making mistakes/crashing on a street bike. Much better to crash your brains out in the dirt and learn what went wrong there in a nice safe environment.

Yea that's what I thought too... It just felt totally weird, a completely different seat position and so forth although I have to say all that suspension made it feel very "cushy" compared to the ninja.

The rear suspension on the ninja is horrible - to me - and I only weigh 155 lbs.
When I ride on the dirt, I think the same thing about "cushy", but hten I guess the Ninja isn't made for landing.

A couple of things I did like was, not be worried about it slipping out from under me when I pulled in the gravel driveway, and the shinny wheels, I think I might polish mine when I get new tires then re-rim stripe them.

I also Kept looking for 6th gear lol older bike only 5 speed,

I am glad Yam still makes YZ125 and YZ250, besides them and KTM no one offers a 2 stroke mx'er.
