Comparison of race fairings for the 300
I'm looking at getting some dedicated track/race fairings for Saturn and was looking for brand recommendations/warnings/etc.
Some factors I'm concerned with:
The brands I know are HotBodies, ArmourBodies, and SharkSkinz. Are there any other worth looking at? |

Armour bodies is the best I've seen on a 300, those things take hits like tanks
Sharkskinz is the best I've seen ever but I haven't seen a set on a 300 yet. Both of those are similar fit and finish and painting is the same on all fairings hotbodies and optical are the cheaper brands that I see often, these hold up to a few crashes (I run hotbodies and crash like it's my job) but not as many. All in all I'm happy with the hotbodies that I have for the price but I'll be going with armour bodies or sharkskinz in the future when I have the $$$ It's one of those situations where the extra money really is worth it

Hmmm....
I know this will not directly answer your question but does apply to ALL track bikes in general. Ask yourself: Why are you buying track fairings? You know the answer to that but spending your $$$ wisely is smart too. Of the 3 brands mentioned above, ALL of them are fine for your purpose. ALL of them "may" be a one crash item. PERIOD!!!! Now as far as fitment and finish goes, there are differences... MAJOR differences. imho, sharkskins wins the day on both of those aspects but you pay a premium for it. Your $$$, your call.

Telling someone who's dumped over $10k into a $5k bike to 'spend $$$ wisely' may be shouting into the void. >.> <.<

No it isn't... or this thread wouldn't exist. You want to spend your money on quality, fitment, finish and durability, very smart imho.
