And I got this news yesterday night... It's quite shocking... Cagers... don't... ****ing... see you... Ride accordingly fellas... Go slow on the streets. RIP buddy.

It looks like maybe there was a driveway there that they were trying to pull into. Was he riding two-up?

I think she's trying to turn into a drive way.. Yes they were riding two up.. passenger girl is badly hurt but alive, thankfully.

I'll be honest I think my friend was a bit too fast for that street. But doesn't change the fact that the idiot turned right infront of him. it sucks..

Man, that sux. I do like how a lot of people rushed to their side unlike other countries that pretty much leave the injured unattended.

To me it looks like the cager deliberately turned in slow looking for potential pedestrians/bicyclists before entering into the drive way. However, s/he didn't bother to look for oncoming traffic - though the motorcyclist did look like he was traveling awfully fast.

Any time you have a cager who's about to turn in front of you always look to make sure s/he sees you (i.e. eye contact or some sign of head looking in your direction). If not, SLOW DOWN.

Going way too fast, looks like he just tried to lay it down instead of braking or swerving.

Very unfortunate & sorry about the outcome.

Oh man I'm sorry that happened, that's awful

Intersections man, if there's one place you scan and close the throttle every time, it's gotta be there

Actually, I believe they were wearing helmets... It looks like one helmet flew off upon impact.

Helmets were on for both.. Back home I see wayyyyyy more helmetless riders than ones wearing one. But yeah they were wearing helmets in this case. They seemed to have flown away with impact though.

If he was 15-20mph slower, the difference might have been an injury instead of death.. It's a shame..

Sorry about your friend. It's one thing to lose someone you know but to see it on video is rough. Prayers go to his family and the passenger.

It is very painful to watch so much potential life disappear in one split second.

He couldn't slow down in time with so much weight and speed.
His body saved her from the direct impact with the car.

Evidently, an illegal turn by that car.

Sorry for your loss. I think everything that could have gone wrong here happened. Definitely way to fast, looks like he had at least 2 full seconds from when car cross into his lane till impact to do something... anything.
Unfortunately the move that most likely cost him his life was when he (locked the front?) & turned into the car causing the bike to start to low side making the impact low on the car and about as bad as it could possibly be. If he would have kept the bike straight up and hit it head on he would of had a better chance IMO as most likely he would have gotten launched over the car dissipating some of the force/energy.

enough of the Monday night quarterbacking
sorry again hope the other rider recovers

not sure why you guys think he was speeding. doesnt look like it to me at all.

however, at 0:09 seconds is instant red flag.

Sorry for your loss. RIP. Regardless of who's fault it was or how it could have been avoided it is really unfortunate and sad that this happened.
