Hello from Dallas area
Figured it's time to jump in and say hi to some fellow riders. Been lurking a while.
Quick backstory. The wife (also a member here, and lurking) decided she wanted a bike. I've always been afraid of them. And definitely afraid of the other drivers on the road that do not see them. So, we go looking. She fell in love with the 2012 Ninja. Green of course. The dealer told her to go take the safety course and if she still wants a bike, he'll sell her one. So off she goes. And passes. We go and get her new toy. Then I start riding in around the neighborhood getting used to it. As is she. We must have put almost 500 miles on it just getting used to 2 wheels. Yeah, it's our first per se. We've both been on bikes, but never to this extent. So then I get the fever and go take the safety course and now it's a primary mode of transportation. At 50ish mpg, I can't beat it. I do now see why people love motorcycles. And I have noticed my driving style is completely different on 2 wheels than it is on 4. I now know which cars are going to try to hit me long before they try to. We've added some green LED lights to try to make it more visable at night. I'll get some pics up soon. Enough rambling....back to lurking. |

Well, Dallas area is a bit of an overstatement. Actual place of residence is Midlothian area, but who outside of the DFW area knows where that is? So if any of the southern metroplex riders see the green 250 scooting around, it's either me or the wife.
