Just a heads up i was able to process the payment with paypal's bill me later =D I guess you guys are set up for it. Its basically like a virtual paypal cc. they pay you and i pay back paypal with 6 mo no interest or no minum payments until sept

Maybe would be easier to call again - and i am sure my questions will pop up again when it arrives.

1. Just would like clarification from our phone convo - i keep getting things mixed up. I ordered the 18" Standard sys; to reach optimal performance with this sytem to closely match the mid-high system should i a) change the filter, b) remove the snorkel, c) remove the complete airbox and use pod filter, or d) a combination / which do you reccommend? Also is there a specific filter you would reccommend?

2. Most of the shops here are like 15 miles (at min) away from my house - after i install the system, can i make a decently far drive for them to rejet it for me?

i am at a blank atm, i thought i had more but currently this is all i was able to think of

1. When keeping the stock airbox with K&N or BMC filter panel, and snorkel removed, the Race system still makes slightly more power. When the airbox is removed, the Race system makes significantly more power. Refer to our website page for info. I recomend both of them. It really is up to you on the decision. Since you've purchased the long quite core system, you might consider retaining the airbox, remove the snorkel, change the filter, rejet, and your done.

2. Yes. You can ride it to the shop for re-jetting.

Does the fuel injected ninja 250R have a snorkle or is that a carb-only thing?

Unhappy

I got mine today too! Its so beautiful. I may be in over my head on this one though. The instructions for the system could be more noob friendly but that I think I can manage. Now the dyno kit to rejet - I'm in trouble. Anyone in the GB who is installing it kare to post some detailed pics literally step by step to help me start this project. I read the diy's and I'm still not sure . I kalled around and shops charging $250-300 for labor after i install the system. Said to jet it the start of season or around 70º and at that time service waits are weeks. Its like 30º and mi is being mi - I was gonna instAll sys and wait out the jetting till I figure out what I am going to do. Kan anyone be of assistance to this noob?

Kan anyone "videotape" the job? Idk how long it is - ill watch the entire process. Ill send you a flashdrive if its too big for youtube or to send back to me.

I should get mine on Tuesday and will vid the whole thing for you if you can wait a day or so. Although I didn't get the jet kit. I am doing something different there. The hardest part will be getting the carbs out if you haven't done that before. Otherwise, it's a piece of cake. I had the full area p system installed on my pregen in 30mins.

Sure, you could do that too. Just have some extra carb screws on hand. Those little suckers strip so easy.

well what my question is, Do all i have to do is play with the main jet (trial and error to get right size) or do i need to mess with needs and MIXTURE SCREW? IF its a matter of just that main jet i can do this in about an hour. Just not 100% sure on everything that u change or adjust

Read through this: http://www.factorypro.com/tech_tunin...m_engines.html

Jetting is trial and error, and is different for each bike. Start from the top and work your way down, making up only one change at a time.

Thanks. Its cold here still and no heated garage - so I have time. Video for installing pipe would be helpful. What are you doing diff with jets/jet kit? Not sure if that would be worth recording too.

Anyone else who got the jet kit able to record or document the process?

Honestly.... I just ran out of big faces. I barely had enough to buy the exhaust. So I sprang for larger main jets (105's), shimming the needles a bit more and 2.5 turns idle adjust. Kinda redneck jet kit if you will.

My process will not be that much different than anyone else's. I will just have some slightly different parts. Installing a jet will be the same no matter if it came with a kit or bought as single items. I suppose the needles you get with the kit will be different and have an adjustable clip to raise and lower the height. I will be just using washers. So that will be different but removal and re-installation will be pretty much the same either way.

This stuff isn't exactly rocket science ya know.

quick questions, to install this jet kit all i do is...

step 1: ( on top of carb )remove carb tops and change needles
step 2: ( on bottom of carb ) change main jets
step 3: ( on bottom of carb ) adjust idle mixture screw.

Can i do all this with out removing the carb from the bike?

Also some what confused about the needle and washers and e clip. I live at 7,420 ft and any tips for setting the needle or anything else with this jet kit would be awesome

Yea Josh, that is the basic idea. If you have the right tools and some patience, you don't have to remove the carbs.

Not sure of your clip question though.

im just wondering about the needles and all the washers that come with it. Do i just put the e clip washer in the middle (top of needle) and then 2 to 3 washers under it? Not sure on how to guess how many washers to use or if with new needle i should any washers at all. Also is the middle the right spot for the e clip? thanks again for all the help

*** DRAWING UPDATE ***

Way to go, ninjette fans! Kerry has received enough orders through this group buy to be able to support a free exhaust system, so that's exactly what one of the buyers is going to get. Sometime in the next few days, I'm going to convince my five-year-old to pick a lucky winner out of a hat; all captured on video for posting here.
