Sorry, the terms for this GB were very specific. I personally would JUMP at this GB, if I had a pregen.

I can check with Kerry about the price diff to substitute a CF muffler, but I can already predict, it won't be just a "few extra bucks".

Kelly are you going to keep it going for 13 more days to see if anyone else wants to get in on it as well? That is ok by me if it is ok with everyone else buying. (Also if you'd shoot Kerry an email about the CF, I would again completely understand if its a whole lot more, like you have stated more than once, its for a specific exhaust he's making). beggers cant be choosers right! I realllllllly appreciate every, every, EVERYTHING you do here and for us I thought the Concours guys were super nice, you and alex and everyone else are amazing, must just be a Kawi thing

Lucas,

Yes, the deadline for the GB will still remain the same. I'll post up what I hear back from Kerry about the CF muffler.

Thanks to all that have signed up so far... just trying to help the ninjette community enjoy what I consider a very high quality product from a super company. I don't go out of my way to throw my support behind many vendors... AP is one of those few.

From AP-
Changing to say an 18" long quiet muffler, would up the price $200.

So, if you want to substitute a CF muffler in place of the muffler that is being offered in this GB, it will be an additional $200 to the GB price.

If you want to make the substitution, please indicate so in the PM I just sent out to the participants to date.

Thanks Kelly for asking. All necessary gaskets we need to put on the system will be included correct? we dont need to let you know we need gaskets? Just if we want to additionally pay for jet kit or the performance kit.

Also what is the talk about an 02 sensor bung?

some wanted an O2 bung added for EFI and/or a monitoring point for an analyzer for tuning purposes. AP can add one, but at an additional cost.

I received the info from the 5 signed up for the GB and just submitted it to AP. You should be getting communications directly from AP in a bit. If you have any questions, emailing them once they contact you would be the quickest, most accurate way to do so.

Good luck... hope this goes smoothly and quickly for all participants.

Hello new Guy from texas here. just joined and saw this thread so i figured i would ask if the group buy is still available. Was actually on the phone with area p earlier today asking about and exhaust, they replied it would be the end of the month. Either way if i could jump in that would be great. Will be posting my intro later today, along with a few pics of my toy.

Thank you for those who committed so far to this GB.

Wanting to make these (potentially) last production systems as unique as possible on the '88 - 07 models, we've made some substantial mods to the muffler design that will be incorporated into these last eight (6 committed, only two more available).

We are now going to integrate a full length "removeable" 1.75" long quiet core that is exclusive to these systems/mufflers. The secondary "outer" core will be the same large 2.375" core (as noted previously). So if you desire more exhaust tone, you may simply remove the inner core and run it with the 2.375" core, which would be very deep and loud enough to satisfy anyone's desire to be "heard". Removing the inner core will also soften the bottom/mid range power and move it more towards peak. Leaving both cores in will provide the best overall powerband, with a reasonable exhaust tone.

So 6 are committed (you will be contacted directly later today). There are only 2 left and then that's all she wrote!

if I understood Kerry correctly, this is a unique design to this pregen muffler in that an inner baffle slides into a larger diameter baffle which will quiet the bike down. If you want more volume, remove the inner baffle. To me, it's the best of all worlds as you can have a quiet muffler or a loud one, depending on what your intended use is. In essence, using the smaller core baffle will turn it into a quiet core system.

some pictures would help, though.

Frank, seriously... consider buying two systems at this price. Once these have been sold (and he only has 2 left from his original production run), it will take high demand for it to go back into production.

This may well be the last time you'll ever see a brand new, performance, full exhaust system for pregens at these prices.

No, it's more complex than that. This is a complete full length dual chamber stainless steel core design that is also removable. If we sold this system the way it will now be designed, it would be a $600 website price.

Lucas,
You're saying you're going to purchase 2 systems? #1 and #8??

Joseph,
Yikes... you posted 2 minutes after Lucas. After recently talking with Kerry, he had only enough to make 8 systems. (I learned this after I had provided 10 spaces). I will have to check with Kerry to see if he can accommodate your 9th order.

my sincere apologies in advance if he can't produce a 9th system.

Andy,

Kerry has emailed me that they have filled the 8 orders and are trying to fill the ninth. Sorry, but he says they are sold out at this point and for me to not take any more orders. If someone doesn't follow through with purchase and a system becomes available, I will be sure to get in touch with you first.
