So i was driving my car today

And i saw a guy on a motorcycle, not sure what it was but it wasn't a cruiser. Anyway the guy had a kid, probably three years old, sitting on the gas tank in front of him with just a little helmet. Is this legal and incredibly stupid or just illegal?

Saw something similar recetly. Was eating at a pizza place with my 3 yr old son and this guy walks out with his daughter who was 100% younger than my son, slaps a little turtle shell helmet on her and throws her on the gas tank of his harley and zips off.

I couldn't stop wondering just how freaking against the law that had to be. I live in Georgia btw. The only thing i could find was that there is no age requirement. The person simply had to ride on the back (as they're meant to) and be able to reach the rear pegs. I'm not even sure this is a written law either though. From what i could find this appeared more like a rule of thumb.

From what I have been told, in KY there is no age restriction. But it's instead discretionary and could be considered "Operating In An Unsafe Manner" and a ticket be written for that.

Once your experienced, carrying a passenger is not hard but I wouldn't want to try to hold my passenger on.

Yeah I mean I guess i just felt sorry for the kid. One quick move and off he'd go. Maybe he'll grow up to be a ninja rider

Oh man I hate seeing that stuff. You get the displeasure of seeing these idiots all the time here in Florida and its usually the Cruiser types. Its fine if you don't want to wear any gear, but when your 10yo son is sitting on the back in a t-shirt, shorts and sandals, that's just plain wrong.

I do it with my 50cc scooter only in my cul-de-sac street. I will get her a helmet soon and start bringing her to school every Friday on my Triumph Bonnie. The school is only a mile away.

on the way back to my apartment, i was behind a guy on a cruiser and a little girl, maybe 3-4 wearing a half helmet, riding behind him. I was just thinking the entire time, wow, I would never do that, if I had a kid, I'd be so paranoid they'd get hurt/killed.
