I can't believe it's taken almost 3 years for someone to notice this. I too like Dirty Bastard, and it's fairly common on tap around here. It's fun to order in restaurants. =) Centennial's not one of my favorites, but I'll drink it.
If you're ever up this way, I'll take you to Bell's, Founders, New Holland, and a whole bunch of others. I like a lot of different styles. Oberon is huge around here in the summer, but I actually switched to Sunset Wheat when they had a few years of mediocre batches (they seem to be getting back in the groove though). Sunset Wheat has blueberries in it, which gives it a nice little zing. Blue Moon is good, and is on tap almost everywhere around here. I found Shock Top to be a lame copy of the wheat beers I like. I'm not generally a fan of IPAs, but there are a few that I really like. Founders' All Day is a nice session IPA that goes down way too easy. Citra Warrior (my buddy's brewery) is an IIPA, but amazingly smooth for 108 IBU (and 9.2% will get you in trouble). I love Dragon's Milk with a shot of vanilla vodka added in. Because 10% and $15 4-packs isn't bad enough by itself... Poet is almost as good. If I'm in the right mood, I like fruity beers too. Rubaeus and Cerise are yummy. Big Froot is good there or in growlers. Berry Weiss is my commercial fallback. I like a shandy on a hot summer day. I feel I've got it pretty good around here. This is one side of the beer aisle in the local grocery store. There's also a specialty beer/wine store across the street. We don't have a lot of the smaller California breweries though. I've heard a lot about Stone's IPAs, but I don't recall seeing any around here (I can see a Stone logo in my pic though). When I visited a buddy out in L.A., we hit El Segundo and Smog City and I did a lot of sampling. And for dislikes, Sam Adams. Every time I see a commercial for something of theirs, I think it sounds really good. Then I try it and I'm unhappy with it. I don't think I've ever tried Boston Lager, but all their special stuff has disappointed me every single time.

I like just about any of the darker beers, especially porters and stouts.

sorry, not wine or beer (don't have the taste buds for those) but the best vodka I have tried so far has been Fris. Supposedly they have repackaged to plastic bottles and some say that makes the taste a lil worst but I haven't tried that version yet. Don't like absolute, sky or smirnoff.

The 10 slides here should get you started.
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/p...s-of-beer.html Although I like the way my old secretary used to put it. She said there were 2 types of beers, those I like and those I don't like. |

We're going to see this through to the bitter end. Or... lager end.

I try all sorts of different beer. I drink micro brew and I don't mind dark beer or IPA or even cider. But when push comes to shove I like Heineken the best.
