That's mad, most police forces here use 1300s, altho I think I've seen a few 125s in service with the Dutch police, off road bikes for city fun & games...

That's quite a line up, here they're all BMW RT1300s with the occasional undercover traffic bike,(last city I lived in had a very nicely done up black fireblade to encourage bad behaviour & then do you for it. Guy on it was known for being a real arsehole like that)

I'd say they spent some money on that fleet. I wonder how much of a volume discount they received?

The 2013 body comes with either a 250 or 300 depending on the region, Malaysia is a region that gets the 250 version, this is done for import duties, legal reasons etc..

Google it more if you like.

I wanted to post this sad news on the day this happened, but I forgot my Ninjette password.

Its never to late to wish condolence to this officer family & friends.

P/s: To those police officers and riders out there, be safe.
---------

A 25 year old Lance Corporal died while pursuing criminal. He is on URB (Motorized Patrolling Unit) 2 man Team pursued a vehicle that was reported fleeing after a robbery. The officer then was hit by another car from behind by the criminal acquaintance.

The sad thing is that, the officer is due for marriage in 3 days.

The criminal then fled the scene and burn their vehicle in a secluded area. As of today, one of the suspects has been caught and man hunt continued for the other suspects.

Oh no.

I have reason to believe that a well organized group of criminals are planning to steal from the place I work today because they did it last Monday and I am not scheduled to be there (they have been testing me all week).

I've done a lot of investigation and know exactly what to look for outside (where they will park, how they will approach, etc), so I was planning on hanging out there today and just parking behind their get-away vehicle when I see "the team" get out (they always leave one in the vehicle). I planned to wear my Looxcie live streaming Bluetooth camera. It is a very public place and so I figured they'd hesitate to harm me or my vehicle, especially when the footage is already in the cloud.

I'm under no obligation to do this and so seeing what thieves did to this poor man is giving me second thoughts.

Always safety first bro. Just make sure that you are out of harm's way. Get them recorded and forward it to the police.

I actually have a ton of video recordings already that my boss will not let me give to the police even though the police asked for them. She is worried that they will make it onto the news and cause copycat crimes, which happened to her last year when she ran a different facility. I even saw them on the news myself though I was not working at that facility.

Even though I recorded those videos they were made with company equipment on company time. They can't stop me from recording my own video in public on my own time and sharing THAT with the police. Also, what they do inside will not be visible for any copycats should the video leak to the media again.

Thanks.

The police aren't keeping me informed of the details because this is much bigger than their crimes against us, but they got one in early July and the other a couple weeks later. The first got out of jail and started posting on facebook again a few days after the arrest but the other dropped off the face of the Earth (I think he/she is still locked up). Reading between the lines of their public posts on facebook around that time, it seems that the first one turned on the second one. A couple weeks after this happened we busted two of their children doing the same thing. No doubt, they were put up to it by their deadbeat parents who were too scared to show their faces in person. I wanted to see the book thrown at all of them, but at least I know one is paying for the crimes.

Thanks for the update! Scumbags. What was their scheme then? are they sneaking into your shop(?) and pocketing goods or is it more complex?
