Addictions besides motorcycling?

We all know motorcycling is an addiction. What are some other addictions you all have? I've heard tattoos are addicting, and though I don't think I could become addicted to them, after getting my first one yesterday, I can certainly see how they could be!

I'm definitely in the tattoo-addiction club, too. Have other hobbies, but I'm not sure they quite make it to "addiction" level. I'm too poor to become addicted to diving.

Erm, other than that... Coffee?

I'm a huge music aficionado. Don't even get me started on the topic because I can talk endlessly about different artists to the point where it gets overwhelming for most people and I want to share things they never heard of. I must listen to music everyday and I have an eclectic collection on my harddrive.

Sadly cigarettes are there for me too =/ Wish it wasn't so, but it is. Sometimes I'm a coffee addict, and then sometimes I'm not. So I'm not sure about that one!

Weed. I do love that **** but quit cold turkey on my b-day Jan. 23rd.

I smoked from 15-23 multiple times a day pretty much everyday. Longest I went without was maybe a week or two when I was on vacation and couldn't find any. But now I just got bored of it and need to move on to bigger better things aka that CBR1000rr I got my eyes on.

I was literally burning away a shitload of cash. I calculated the amount I spend on it weekly will equal $4700-5800 over the next two years, I don't even want to know how much I've burnt in the past 8...Good thing I don't drink coffee or smoke nasty ass cigarettes and only drink socially about twice a month.

Saving up for that damn bike was my only real incentive to quit.

Playing music. I'm a bass player in two bands. I also just returned from rehearsal for a hired-gun gig.

I LOVE playing.

Moving gear, not so much…. but that's what they pay you for.

Best gigs so far… since 2009 I've played at the NY Marathon, near the finish line. Crowd of thousands. AWESOME.

I most deff am in the tat addiction club too. It hasn't even been a year since I got my first tattoo... now I have 5 in total. :-\

Buttttt also major on coffee. And hookah. But lately I've been having difficulties breathing so.. Im quitting the hookah. I've smoked cigs before, more so recently as well. Again, quitting. No more addiction to those lol

Photography? Is that considered an addiction? Because lately I've been loving pictures and what not.

Id have to say paintball is really the only other thing i spend my money and time on. I shoot pistols and stuff too since i have a range in my backyard. Skeet shooting and all that, but most of the money that doesnt go to the bike goes to paintball. Been playing since i was 12, so 15 years now. In addition to the shooting range i have a field in my backyard, saves some $$ when i want to play but i wish i was able to afford playing tournaments again...

I absolutely love music, cycling, art/photography, and mechanical stuff. I love rebuilding and working on cars/bikes/motorcycles. I also love nature. I love being outside. Shooting, archery, camping, cycling, all that stuff is a great excuse to just be outside enjoying yourself.

I have one tattoo. I've been considering a new one for years, just won't pull that trigger.

My wife would state that my accessories for cycling is an addiction. I don't view it that way. I suppress myself quite often. I see something and I walk away. I try to think if I have an alternative to that purchase...something I can do cheaper or use something I already own. So it isn't an addiction, but it could be if I left it unchecked.

Like this year. I need to take my bike in for maintenance. I still lack a BB tool and wheel truing stand. So I just take it in and have them work on the whole thing because it is only a little more than the BB/wheels are alone. I also need a new helmet. I treat my cycling helmets like motorcycle helmets. Only 3-4 year lifespan, then they get replaced. The roadie is approaching 5 years, so time for a new helmet.
