ATV Logic, ran me $19.95 at the local ATV shop.
No interference though took some wiggling to get them on. The big fat gloves make finding the turn signal button a bit harder in that I have to feel where it is but thankfully I have the controls memorized. It's tight on the choke lever but still allowed me to move it this morning. Still need to ride in super cold weather to really test but hoping I can switch to light weight gloves with these on. *edit: rode home tonight in 40*-50* weather with a cold 20 mph wind blowing on me. Not the coldest I have been out in but my face was cooling off with the chill coming up under the helmet and my legs also cooling down during the ride. It was low enough I had the jacket on medium heat with only a thin base layer on underneath. The flippers (sorry they look like dolphin flippers!) kept the wind off my hands and while my fingers weren't "warm" they certainly weren't cold! Think kind of a cool room temperature. Snow is forecast so further cold weather testing will happen, but I can say that in mildly cold, these things do help. The only difficulty I found on this ride was while the headwind was pushing the flippers against the lever. If I didn't keep my fingers covering the levers, I had to push my fat gloves between the flipper and the lever. No really issue unless I need to do an emergency brake or shift. So will be keeping my hands in place while just resting. Did find it is easy to remove my left hand to fiddle with headset or camera or whatever, though I did need to glance to make sure I got my hand back into the opening.

I didn't pack my cold weather gloves or base layers. So I'll just have to wing it. My gf is sick so my riding around is going to be very limited. I'll probably take the bike into SF tomorrow to avoid traffic and parking.

I had considered them, but between my jacket, the extra lights, the electronics, and a thingy or two, my bike is out of power to run anything else. Working on switching to LEDs and may be considering changing the stator if I can find one that works on the newgen.

New bars and winterization
Changed the oil, dumped in some SeaFoam and adjusted the new handlebar, but we'll still be riding for a few more weeks, and all winter when the roads are dry.
On my 650, I use Oxford heated grips, which are easy to install and really make winter riding more pleasant. Here's the ninjette: Here's the "office" of the 650. Note the Oxford control box: |

New oil and filter for the 300, then I gave her a bath. I forgot how ridiculously easy changing the oil in the 300 is, had it done in no time.

It's not too loud at all, I actually love the sound. It's deeper and "throatier". It does look good, and the potential power improvement is not the reason I wanted a 2-in-1... Just wanted to regain the use of my helmet lock :P

Overhauled the right-hand front fork yesterday. It was apparently leaking, causing me to fail my annual state inspection. New seals, dust caps, oil, and a half-decent cleaning.
It took me a couple of hours, never having done one before. I could easily do another one in about an hour now, I think. I have to do the other side tonight, so I can go get her reinspected over the weekend. |

Not today, but 2 days ago, I finally took my bike out for a spin for the 1st time Rode it around my block for a good 30 minutes. Would have rode much longer but not having an endorsement and living on base dont add up It was an exciting experience and I loved every minute of it! Cant wait to take my MSF course next week so I can take this baby out on the regular!
BTW can anybody direct me to who makes replacement keys? I went to Lowes but apparently they dont make motorcycle keys... |

Checked and adjusted valve clearances. They did not move but I still changed the shims to optimize the clearance.
Waiting for a few small parts then I button her back up for the winter. |

looks good and feels good
less tucking and I will be moving my minimum temp lower from 25 to ?? so a lot I am very happy with my choice of clear. I had dark smoke on my 250 and at night I had to look over it but with the clear I can tuck under where it is much quieter and warmer for my winter commuting. |
