Need help and advice please?
Hey y'all. I'm a newbie with this forum. But I am seeking help and advices. I recently bought a used 2009 Kawasaki ninja 250. Pretty cheap too. The only catch is that it has some cracked fairings and hasn't been run for two years. So I bought it at a very cheap price. Did a lot of negotiation. Really I have few questions. Which online company would you recommend to buy a full fairing kit. Cheap of course but least it should last for awhile. And also I can turn on the bike, it cranks but doesn't start. So far I'm buying the tools needed for oil change and gas change. But I would like help in the process and any other things I should take a look at. Any advices would help out. I'm planning on getting it up and running ASAP. Thanks !!!

Welcome Kiid!
Gratz on the bike but you got a bit of work ahead of you before spending any paper on plastics. At the least you need to do these tasks Drain tank and refill with fresh gas Remove carbs and clean Check airbox, snorkle area and air filter Change all fluids Check brakes and tires Once you got it running, then think about some shiny bits. Others here have had some success getting non OEM bodywork from various sources. I am sure they will chime in soon. Good luck!

to Ninjette, Kiid!
Are you looking for OEM fairings? They'll be expensive new from any shop. eBay may be your best bet for those. Or are you looking for any fairings? There's a TON of Chinese kits available on eBay that you can find mini reviews of here (such as https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=193220)

On a 2009, you can clean the carbs yourself. It's really easy to clean the carbs but a bit of a pain the rear to get them out and back in when you're done.
How to remove the carbs (staring ME ) Skip the jetting section in my vid and watch the other one to clean them.

Oh! Take some pics of your cables and hoses before you remove them. So if there are any questions on where they go, you can refer back to them. It really helps.

You need to assume that no service or maintenance has been done; start by checking those. If you don't have sparks jumping, you will need to check the electric part as well. There are safety switches that can prevent the engine from starting.
