Desmoparts is where I would go: http://www.desmoparts.com/category/p...-kits/kawasaki
I've never had to buy from them though, but the price is better than whatever is offered on Amazon/Ebay. Make sure you get the right ones, I'm not actually sure if the Ninja 250's wellnuts are M5/M6/whatever. |

I solved this... egad, has it been that long? Eight years ago.
Thread with useful info re sizes and such is here: https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=30915 NOTE: The link in the thread no longer works, but the business referenced (Desmoparts) is still around. Current link (scroll down on the page) http://www.desmoparts.com/products/s...-kits/kawasaki 65 cents apiece, with reasonable shipping fees. Buy a bunch. You'll need 'em over time. I still have much of my stash left.

I never had an issue finding them at any local hardware store in standard sizes, and 1 hardware store nearby has them in metric. Sometimes I just buy them in standard and get standard stainless bolts to match

The m5 well nuts that I bought from amazon fit perfect. Now I just need to find 4 hex head bolts the right size to go with them because the person who owned the bike before me lost the well nuts and bolts.

You should know what well nuts are . They are about 60 cents a piece. Beer nuts are about $1.50 and deer nuts are under a buck
