Replacing Turn Signal Bulbs
I'm having trouble finding replacements for a turn signal bulb that stopped lighting a few days ago.
I'm not looking for another amber bulb, but a clear one. I've tried all of the auto stores in town, but none of their bulbs will fit due to the odd location of the tabs on the sides of the OEM bulbs. Where the aftermarket's are directly across from each other, the ninja's are slightly offset from the center. I read that it is possible to grind one of the tabs off, but I'm worried that the bulbs may vibrate out of its socket while riding. I have found sites on the web where I can order new bulbs, but like I mentioned before, I'm looking for a clear bulb, not amber. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Welcome Devin,
After much trial and error, I finally found some that fit at autozone in their marker light section. I had to take the turn signal housing with me as a complete unit. The very helpful man behind the counter even opened packages to ensure proper fit and water tightness of the amber cap. Best of luck, it wasn't easy for me either.

Do you remember what the brand or bulb # was?

Bulb # would be on the bulb if you don't have the packaging.
