Any good proven stands?

Look at this on eBay:

Motorcycle Stand Front Triple Tree & Rear Spool Stands, Head Lift

http://bit.ly/17V6yTl

AND

Look at this on eBay:

Motorcycle Stands, Front and Rear Set, Front Forklift, Rear Spoollift Paddock

http://bit.ly/1jWzMbv

I have 2 bikes but need at least 1 rear and 1 front

I could buy blindly but figure I would ask what people have used and what works best.

For example this eBay ad asks for pin size ? What is that

The front triple tree stand works better if you want to do work on the forks. As you can imagine, the other style depends on the forks to keep the front end up.

The pin size is normally required for the triple tree stand style. The pin goes inside the head tube, partly for alignment, and partly so the bike doesn't fall off the stand. Note that the front stand should typically only be used in conjunction with (and after) the rear stand has been set.

Pitbull. Are they on the expensive side? Yes. Will they last longer than your motorcycling career? Yes. I own other name brand stands as well and the Pitbull are just nicer. They are easier to lift (the leverage required is next to nothing compared to my woodcraft) and they have withstood a lot more abuse and are in better shape than others.

Ok thanks for the feedback. Soo I see now these work with "spools". Don't know how I over-looked that one. I guess when I decided to not go with frame sliders because the reviews were horrible (both install and After crashing ) I forgot about these.
I see Yoshimura and other brands $40 a set. Is that normal?

Yea, pretty normal. I have some cheap HF spools on my race bike. Not really all that pretty but look "ok" and they work very well.

Pro Tip* - If you get spools, work them in and out slowly until they are seated all the way. Paint in the threads can make this seemingly easy job a HUGE pain the arse.

I've owned the cheaper stands and have gotten rid of all of them, all I own is putbull now.

Watch craigslist for used stands, that's were I've bought most of mine.

My wall of stands, plus two being used to hold up race bikes not shown.

I actually like my HF rear stand, but I cant find adaptors to use my spools. Maybe I am looking in the wrong places?

I dunno. I have a correct sized bolt going through some generic spools off a gsxr I think. Fairly small.

I guess I will need to see a pic. I haven't seen any adapters that might work with the HF stand.

The HF stand came with paddles. I wanted to get spool hooks.

OH! You have the paddle stands. HF also makes a hook style stand as well. If you get some good coupons, you should be able to land one for about a $10 spot. I think that would be a better spend of $$ than finding adapters.

+1 for Pitbull. Expensive, but you get what you pay for. I like the triple tree stand, I just never trusted the fork stand.

I found this
http://www.harborfreight.com/low-pro...and-99701.html

If I can find a pit bull stand for cheap, I would go that direction. Chicks dig good gear right?

That's it Ryan. Find a 50% or 70% coupon and pick it up much cheaper.

For sure on pit bull, good luck finding them cheap .

Ha thanks!

I advertise tire changes on craigslist and was using a NoMar changer till I had enough money made from doing changes to purchase this machine, even in this cold weather I still do at least a tire change a week, some times 3 depends.

During riding season I was averaging 10 tires a week.

That's in my garage at home too.

Its a life saver! watch this if you really want to hate your manual machine...
