Anyone have his phone number or talk to the guy? I lent him a pair of Knox handroids, and a field sheer jacket, after he showed up to a tech day in a sweater and latex gloves..... and now he has disappeared.... I just want my gear back

Why would you ever lend expensive gear and not even get a phone number down, let alone let the guy walk away with it?

If I let someone borrow my phone, I won't even let them get more than 5 feet away from me.

Safe bet he has a user account in one of the lancer evo forums under the name "lancer3vo". Start investigating detective.

Well, my handroids were crashed in, but were physically fine... He seamed like a good guy, and said he was going to get gear soon but didnt have the money right then... So I thought I would pay it forward and help out

Quickly googled, and didnt come up with much

I updated my post with good leads. Check them out. Create accounts on those forums and message him. At least one of them is gonna be configured to notify him through email that he's got a message whether he's active on the boards or not.

I will take this as a lesson from you...even though I would never let a stranger borrow my gear. This will definitely make me not lend anyone my gear unless they are a passenger on my bike. Once they get off they return my gear.

I hope you get your gear back.

I don't let people borrow my stuff unless they give me some sort of collateral that I can hold onto for the duration of the "rental" period.
