Hi Russell, it's good to meet you. I assume you mean Australia, but there's a Brisbane in California too.

Gday, I too recently purchased a used 2011 Ninja 250R, I'm in Amberley.
I also just joined after alot of stalking. From my experience, dont modify your throttle tube to reduce the twist needed for full throttle, I did and it sucked balls, I am now purchasing a +06 to 16 Yamaha R6 throttle tube, Allan from ALLPARTS in Slacks Creek has informed me that this is the best option out there, it's a common mod and the R6 throttle tubes are used for alot of platforms. Spindles for a rear stand are 10mm, test fit prior to purchase though as the place where it mounts is stepped and fitment issues may occur. I upsized the front sprocket from 14 to 15 tooth, it's a good mod, but, if your chain is new it will be to tight, I am now looking for a 42 tooth rear sprocket or a 107 link chain, (new OEM is 106) which I hope will fix adjustment issues. Good luck, avoid my stupid mistakes and stay safe. |
