That was incredible! At the end of the video there was video distortion: it looked like the Matrix was glitching!

The description says Laguna Seca, but it doesn't look like it? I even wondered if they were running backwards, but I don't think so. Mislabeled track?

Very impressive skills, though it does confuse me when I see racers bending or breaking the rules we generally take to be true for street riding, for instance I think I see/hear a lack of maintaining throttle, even rolling off mid corner, etc. I assume the racers are playing with the fact they know from experience how much grip they have available, so know they can do this when necessary?

Cheers, Pete

The yamaha champ school explained this concept well I believe. Look them up on youtube, but the concept is. Say you have 100 points that represents your grip (staying shinny side up). If you spend more than 100, you crash...

Link to original page on YouTube.

The difference is, racers or highly skilled riders have a good understanding of WHY, WHEN and HOW to spend their 100 points of traction. What are riders looking/feeling for to determine the amount of traction available?

I like how you guys are so good that you're not impressed by a pro racer of 23482948 times the calibre of you are

So much ego on forums.

Don't let it get to you Gurk, let go. Write or wrong, I don't think racers where your intended post target anyway.

You are right Chris. It is not my concern.

The video is targeted to anyone, racer or not. I guess it's my upbringing that wired me up to pay respect where respect is due.

Yes. I do let it get to me when people I know for a fact that will never be able to ride as good as that guy come here and pretend it's such an easy thing to do.

It is generally why I don't ever hang out with biker crowd. There's far more egotistical a$$holes than level headed decent people. I see first hand how people treat each other. It's like their riding "friends" are there to step on and feel better about self. In real life, I never get involved. Just laugh on the side lines. I should try the same online too.

Sorry if this post is too harsh. Carry on. I won't share anything publicly on an online forum again. It's counter productive. I PM with rare good and talented people anyway!

The guy wasn't going that fast anyway. He was on a 600 and the speedo was in Kilometers which is 23482948 times slower than MPH.

Relax. @nemisis is a pretty good racer and probabaly still the fastest ultra light weight guy with cvma club. Peanut is probabaly in the same boat as Jon. Just in Colorado. Then @csmith12 isn't exactly a slouch either. And @cc_cowboy, that dude was going faster than you and I ever will before we were born.

It's not that respect isn't being given. As my supermoto instructor tells me. As compared to what? Perspective changes everything.

It's kinda sad for me chone, Sam and a couple other fast 250 riders are moving to the twin classes next season or not racing. So they are denying me the chance to chase them down. That is ok though, I was getting tired of coming in 4th all the time anyway.

you are right. fastest ultra light weight guy on a single track championship is exactly same skillwise to a guy who won races on a supersport in several countries. my bad.

ok he's fast, really fast. but there's one thing I don't get. why would you give up riding if you became fast? there would still be room for improvement at any level including that level so why quit?

i wasn't too serious about that... but i don't see pro racing in my future. i'll always do this for fun and get as good as i can.. just not gonna dump all my life and money into it. (right now i am dumping a lot of money into it but i don't see me doing that 10 years from now)
