Lowside in the rain
Got stuck in a downpour on the way home one night and ended up laying it down on the left side. I went back the next day and realised there were 2 sewer caps side by side at the intersection on the side I went down. One was completely slick just flat metal and the other one was just a typical sewer cap. I think I just went in a little to hot and tapped the brake at the exact moment I was over the sewer cap and that's all it took. Visibility was really bad and I just didn't see it. The top of my knee has a nice bruise on it but my gear kept me safe everywhere else. I rode the bike around the neighborhood and it seems fine minus the crushed left blinker even though it still blinks dangling from the frame. The bike already had some scratches on the left side from the previous owner so I just added to them I guess. Pretty scary but I guess it's good to have the experience.

The bike seems fine other then scratches and a smashed left signal. It sucks because I missed the last week or so of riding before it got cold. Oh well. I feel lucky I didn't get to banged up from it and it hasn't discouraged me from wanting to ride.

Thanks, I just got the left signal in the mail today just waiting on the mount. Hopefully I'll be riding by the end of the week.
