Today I discovered that it's not too fun to get behind a truck hauling huge round hay bales, while wearing a tank top, doing 70 mph down the highway. Lil peices of hay fly off and poke you like little needles.

The Wind!

Today I got hit by the wind. The faster I went, the more I got hit by it.

Very frustrating...

No, I wore my jacket religously until we hit triple digits and then I couldn't do it anymore. I have been looking into something like that though.

Eggs...Yup F***ing EGGS!

Well, last July I was hit from behind by some old guy in a car. Bike was wrote off, I wasn't banged up too bad, luckily it was at low speed. So, got a new bike and in October my boyfriend and I went for a cruise through a nearby town. Two young punks in a car decided that it'd be fun to throw eggs at people as they drove by. Yep, I got nailed by one of their eggs in the right arm, had my jacket on but it still hurt like a #$%@&! I didn't realize what hit me at first so I pulled over and noticed egg yolk all over my coat, jeans, handlebars, tank, etc., and it was realy slippery!! Once my BF knew that I was alright he whipped around to try and catch the little F***ers, but they booked it out of the area. Not a bad thing because he probably would've killed them. Thankfully, I was hit in the arm, if it had hit me in the head I most likely would have been in the ditch along the side of the road.

The lack of feminine company can generate a strange sense of fun in some bored human males.

I was taking my bike to a job site the other day. Following the truck a fairly large bag of these plastic rings used to hold the rails in vinyl fencing in place came flying out of the back and almost hit me in the head. Then a bunch of rocks and sand came flying out of the truck when we got up to speed. At that point I had to pass my co-workers and flip 'em off, then chew 'em out at the job. Dumb bastards didn't put a tarp over the sand and stone like they should have.

I live in a farming area so this is a daily thing for me. I have been hit with corn and soy beans , feels like being shot with a bb gun!! Sand, gravel, hay. I was also behind a horse trailer once when a horse decided it had to pee, I swear I heard the horse laughing!! The worst was probably a robin in the upper right side of my chest at 65 mph with just my uniform shirt on, no gear.

I was traveling 55 to work one morning, through farm country, and there are tons of pigeons and doves always hanging out on the edges of the road. So I came up on one, and was hugging the center line to avoid it. This one was particularly stupid, as it flew right, then swerved and came right back at me! I nailed the thing with my windshield and then it bounced up and hit me on the visor right in front of my right eye. Man, I won't ever ride without my gear.

I would've rode around town all ngiht till I found them and made them eat raw egg... Sorry you had to deal with that.... I'd have to kill someone.

I've had a plastic bag snag onto my handlebars and flap wildly in my face while riding. Remained cool, looked ahead and took it off with peripheral vision. I wonder if that counts as littering?

lol, that reminds me of "Soapy water guy". There is a gent who hates.... I mean literally hates any sport bike and rider. He was went so far as to yell at us while going slow by his house with a crashed bike in the back of the truck. He yelled "I hope he died." WTF?!?!?!?!?

Anyway, he likes to wash his truck on Sundays when we ride by. He has resorted to throwing buckets of soapy water at riders and on the curve in front of his house. And that right there is a bastard if you ask me.

Last year I was on US 50 in WV. There is a stretch where the speed limit is 75, but everyone does at least 85. I was doing about 90, when a semi coming the other direction, probably doing at least 75-85, kicked up a stone probably 1.5 inches in diameter directly into my chest. Through my leather and 4 layers (it was early April in the mountains), it felt like a gunshot. Once I gathered my wits, I was fairly shocked that I stayed on the bike. YIKES!

So, my second day riding I took my bike up one of our highways here which are much different to yours, guaranteed. They are wide and smooth, very low traffic as well. I was cruising along behind a truck at about 100km/h and thinking to myself, "if that guy doesn't see me an pulls over here I'll have to swerve hard left. If that guy brakes suddenly I can escape to the right. If this truck were to lose something out the back of the tr- HOLY ****!" And right there a big piece of cardboard flew out the back of his truck and on my second day of riding I had to do a crazy hard swerve on a highway to avoid getting smokd by this cardboard. About 3 mins later there was a red light and I lane split a few cars to pull up beside him, knocked on the window, told him his truck was throwing garbage all over the highway and he didn't really seem too bothered. He simply said "oh thanks man!" ....... -.- I stared at him for a bit and then let him have it for almost causing me to wipe out. He got the point.

I almost took a blown tire chunk to the chest. Luckily it just hit the front tire. Caused the bike to wobble a little. And caused me to almost lay it down. Regained my composure and kept it going.

Other than that, there is the occasional rock that finds my jacket every once in a while. Even with that on, they still hurt.
