What do you guys think?

Hi! My names Nate and im 19 years old. This fall I'm planning on getting a 08+ Ninja 250. I have no prior riding experience but I have done alot of research on it. I know that DOES NOT count as experience lol I hear that the 250 is not only a beginner bike but a great bike for anybody. Its light and I know it has plenty enough power to satisfy me. Please don't go crazy on me when i say this lol but the riding position of a stock 250 kills me. Im wanting to install the woodcraft clip ons for a more aggressive look. Im 6'1 180 pounds and i was wondering if this would indeed give me the aggressive look that i desire. Also, if you have any pointers for a beginner, then please feel free to tell me about them! Alot of people I talk to about the clip ons say its a bad idea for a first time rider, but I assure you that I am not one of these guys that wants to get out and impress there friends with fly bys and wheelies, its just that I do like the more aggressive look.

Thanks so much!
Nate

Welcome Nate.

First things first, plan to take a safety course and obtain all riding gear. Then once you get your bike ride it for a bit before changing anything. Once you have some experience riding and getting to know the 250 you can decide if anything needs to be changed.

Just my .02

The clip ons will put you in a little more aggressive position. I have the woodcraft brand and they function well. You can install them with absolutely no riding gear or safety courses. You will need some tools. You will need gear before you USE them. A safety course would be a good idea too.

welcome!
i agree with the peeps that say ride first then do the mods if you feel its necessary. i want a more aggressive look as well, but once i got my bike i realized i want to do some other things first, like swap out the exhaust... the stock sounds like a vacuum cleaner lol.
get some hours under ur belt then start planning your mods.
just my opinion.

Welcome Nate
.I am tall and have long arms.I found the clip-ons more comfoprtable because my elbows were not to bent.
Definitly try to get some riding class after the MSF. Read books or the web.But do study riding.I is not natrual .being tought will save a lot.
