Cool need some advice - finding the right chain

I could only find 120 link chains and was told I need a 106 and would have to break the chain to about 108 links and I could only find an o ring chain will that chain be OK

You can only find an O ring?

Have you tried the internet?

Revzilla, SportbikeTrackGear, Motorcycle-Superstore, etc.

Yes you will have to "break" the chain. Yes with a chain breaking tool it's easy.

O ring is fine, and if you can't find a chain breaking tool, a dremmel will be more than sufficient to cut the chain to the spec length.

if you are basically anywhere in socal, you are within a few miles of a moto shop.

go to a moto shop, pick up the chain, go to harbor freight, get the $10 chain breaker, put the chain on.

In summary:

Chains come in standard lengths.
Buy new chain.
Buy chain breaking tool.
Break and remove old chain.
Break new chain to correct number of links.
Install new chain with master link.
Done. Enjoy bike with new chain.

You pose no question, just a statement that you can only find a 120 link chain? what do you expect the out come to be, especially with no background information?

I don't think he realized that you were telling him the same thing as @dcj13.

Oh: FWIW, the breaker is $15-$17 now but the 20% off coupon still knocks that down.

I don't think anyone mentioned that the new chain needs a clip-type master link unless he has the right chain tool or knows what he's doing with the HF breaker (cracked a rivet on mine). Proper installation of the rivets also needs calipers to measure the flare.

It's missing a question mark, but he did ask if that chain would be OK.
