New 250 Owner From Long Island, NY

Hi everyone,

I just bought a 2010 Ninja 250. Its my first bike and so far I love it!

I've been lurking on some other Ninja 250 forums to learn more about the 250, DIY mods, etc. But, I think ninjette.org is by far the best forum.

I have done a lot of custom modding to my cars. Hopefully I will be able to do the same with the Ninja and contribute some DIY'ers!

Welcome to the friendliest site you'll ever come across.
Go to the forums...local rides and look for LI...yes...there IS life on LI.
If you're an experienced rider...I go with a sport-cruiser crew on Saturdays far and fast and you're welcome to come along. If a little less experienced, there are a few ninjett-ers out here who go a bit closer. Post on the LI site...what town are you in ?

OK...reread your post...first bike so I'm just guessing that you might be a new rider....nooooo problem.
We're gonna go to OBI - Captree probably thursday night......other 2 guys have big bikes but it's a straight run and just for fun

Ah, I won't be able to make it this Thursday...my bike is currently going under some moddifications =)

I will definitely check the LI thread when I'm ready though.

I think I see you alot right from my work window in Wantagh off Merrick Rd. I envy you every time! I'm sure it is you...I've been off the road for two years. I should be back on the road in August! I work and live in Wantagh btw.

Perhaps we will cross paths, I'm sure we will ! Look for the 2008 red ninjette with the Bruce Lee helmet. I am usually all geared up too in red and black. I'm right across Mill Pond...

I miss my 250. My friend has a 250 so I get to ride it sometimes =p

Nice! What do you ride now? I almost bought the 2008 GSXR this year. I t was lowered and seat was chopped off. But rode funny. I'm will probably get a GSXR next year and still keep the ninjette. Cause it's just soo fun to ride!

I knowci lve the 250. My original plan was to keep the 250 and get another bike, but financially I couldn't do it. I got 2011 zx6r brand new. I wanted the gsxr 750. But i want to take my time haha

Oh nice! I test rode a 2007 600rr and it was massive! Your's is more light weight, the seat height is like 32. That is a nice bike, I think the Kawi's are more user friendly too.

I wonder with that bike if the bike seat can be shaved 2"... Hmmm
