I Almost hit a Deer, Ran over a Rabbit, all within 15 mins of eachother!

Hello im Dave, i live in Michigan. Im 32 yrs old.

I grew up riding dirtbikes, atv's from age 10 till 29 (then i grew apart from those friends). So now April 2009, i bought my First Motorcycle. A Red 2009 Ninja 250R!!! Its All Stock atm. I Love it, but now im craving More Power, more Speed, but that can wait untill i pay-off my 250 and get a Good 2 years Exp under my Belt! Then i would like too get a New ZX-6R, when the time is right!
(remb your first Car? i wanted a Camaro Z28, 350 ... my Dad said nope son, your gonna start off with this 86' Grand-Am. you must learn too drive b4 you get something with a V8, if your gonna live under my Roof!).

Lol, well ive been Wanting too get a Bike since oooh age 21-22, but im glad i didnt get one. As i wasnt mature enuff, and drove like a crazy idoit! Well now 10 yrs later... and my driving habits are that of a easy going old man, i felt its Time!
(that and last summers $4/gal gas prices made me think of the 08' 250R)

Last summer i was too late, as i called around in July 08' no one had ANY 08 250%'s in stock, most dealers told me 'Good luck, youll have too wait for the 09s next year! "

Anyways, 2 weeks ago i was cruisin' at nighttime out in Romeo, Mi. when a DEER jumped out in front of me, from the rightside of the road... i missed it by 3-5 feet! I came too a stop in the form of a power slide on my rear tire, looked back... and the deer just finished its path on the leftside whiteline, stood there for 2 secs... then disappeared into the woods. Then not 15 mins later... a lil Rabbit jumps out in the road in front of me... no time at 55 MPH too do anything but Feel Buggs Bunny hit my rightfoot/footpeg... i felt bad, but oh well! lol

Biggest thing I have hit with my bike (the TL), is a turkey..some friends that I was riding with said it ran right into my rear tire, I never felt a thing.

welcome. I hit a sea gull once lol. thing was in the middle of my lane and didn't look like it was going to move, i honked and nothing....so i moved into the left lane to go around it, but when i was passing it the stupid thing decided to take off.....except it flew right into my front tire, rolled up the front of my bike bounced off my face and back down behind me lol.....really not what I needed when I was on my way to school to write my final exams in calc and stats. lol
