We normally just throw an assortment of nuts at humans from a safe high-point in a tree: we have been known to swear on occasion though

Yeah, this pic inspired me on my CM400, but didn't get done before it went to a better home.

Wow..thanks for sharing that Dave. I wasn't aware such a thing as a fully functioning electric sport bike existed! Love the thing, but wouldn't trade it for my ninjette even if I was offered a million bucks...the rumble of my slip-on assisted gasoline engine beats the sh!t out of that wimpy electrical whine :P

+100

Can't beat the sound of a gasoline engine. Unless it's a ricer, those things just sound terrible.

You do realize that technically the ninjette is a ricer right?

LIES AND SLANDER! How dare you?! I can no longer continue being your friend.

All jokes aside, yes, I realize that. But bikes are supposed to sound a certain way. And the only time it is acceptable for a car to sound anything like a bike is when it sounds like a harley. (a.k.a Muscle cars)

Why dose it have a brake light on a race bike? For that matter, why does it have a passenger seat and no pegs?

i love the motoczysz bikes. i think they made a good choice switching to electric. their new fork setup is much better than the previous version. not sure if im a fan of the single center shock instead of having them in the forks themselves but it seems like they know what they are doing. plus look at the ass on that bike. so sexy!

Agreed, gas engines ( specially a big one) sound and feel the best, but for some weird reason, I want an electric bike. I wait for the Isle of Man TT every specifically for the Electric Race. I can see this technology, not replacing fuel engines, but becoming part of our everyday lives. Is kind of exciting to see it happen.

That is not a stop light, I thing is just a mount for a camera they they plugged close, ot that is where it plugs in to recharge, at no moment do I see it light up. I also don't see a passenger seat, I think they just made that part of the cowl the same color of the seat.

No, there is a triangular tail light section that does in fact light up as he brakes when he's pulling it into the garage at around 1:50. And I disagree, that does not look like a cowl but rather a padded seat. It has the same surface texture as the seat itself.

Somewhat agree, the rims are just a strange design choice compared to the rest of the bike. If it was me, I would have used smaller/open rims/tires, maybe something that matched the front rotor and less rake. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

Yup, missed that somehow. I am looking at the close up pics and in the pics , the back section looks like a cowl, but in the video it looks padded. As far of a stop light,F1 racers have stop lights, I don't see why not on a race bike.

I was thinking the same thing with that brake light. The F1 racer tail lights also flash when they are braking the last I checked, like the brake light modulators you can get for a street bike. Great idea to add a little bit of safety to a race car/bike w/o weighing it down.

Hehehe, yah I know. But not everyone is familiar with Buells. I remember for awhile it was like "what's a Buell?" with so many people, even riders simply because Buell just wasn't seen enough outside of certain circles. I got that photo from CycleGear's FB page this morning as they were in the EBR team's garage.

Is there an advantage too having such a large disk? Only thing I can think of is that the bigger disk would stay cool better than a little one.

Part of the idea behind the concept is that it has more braking power with less weight. As quoted from wikipedia:

Quote:
Buell XB models also incorporated the industry's first Zero Torsional Load (ZTL) perimeter floating front disc brake system, a patented "inside-out" wheel/brake design that puts the brake disc on the outer edge of the wheel, rather than at the hub. This lets the suspension function better, improving control and traction, through reducing unsprung weight on the front wheel, because only a single disc and caliper—with a corresponding reduction in bolts and brake fluid—is needed compared with the conventional dual-disc brake setup on most modern sport bikes. In an exchange in the pages of Motorcyclist magazine between Suzuki engineer James Parker, creator of the GSX-RADD hub-center steering system, and Buell's Director of Analysis, Test & Engineering Process, Abraham Askenazi, Parker conceded the ZTL system's advantage in unsprung weight. But he pointed out the remaining weight is located further out on the rim where it is most detrimental to acceleration and braking, and that there were potential heat transfer issues, and the need for one fork leg to be stronger than the other. Responding, Askenazi disputed all of Parker's criticisms, saying the ZTL system was 30% lighter than the brakes on the Suzuki GSX-R1000, and that the inertia of having the weight further out on the rim, and the heat generation near the tire, were not negative factors, based on testing. Askenazi concluded that testing and race track experience had proven the ZTL to be "state of the art."

Inside-out rotor... under-slung exhaust... upside-down forks... and new Buell logo... I knew it was Buell the second I saw it.
