Small issue with ignition

So, today i noticed my key was being a pain to get in and out. I took a closer look and looks as though the left metal piece is bent a little. Not sure how it became like this but anyone know a fix or if i should take it back to the dealer. seeing as i just bought the bike 3 days ago...

I hate when little things like this happen.... just ruins my day.

That bent bit is normal. I believe it's there to help guide the key in. Generally you need to wiggle the handlebars a bit when you insert and remove the key though much like jiggling the steering wheel on a car.

to my knowledge, that indent is there in almost all ignitions. I always assumed it's purpose is so that the tip of the key can get under the tiny metal door and slide it back... allowing the key into the keyway. I don't think anything is wrong with your bike. Try taking a few minutes to fiddle with your key and the ignition and you'll probably find a better angle / technique to get the key in and out process a bit more smooth!

EDIT: Same as above for the most part, I didn't refresh the page before I replied : /

kevlarorc has it right. I find that the key doesn't go in that easy if the bike is turned to its steering lock so I just move the handle bars a bit and it slides right in. Same thing for taking it out
