front fork caps

Hi,after fitting my clip-ons I'm left with the open ended fork stanchions protruding thru the top triple.Any advice on finding/fitting caps to tidy the job up?

cheap hole blanks at your hardware store or better yet, preload adjusters. you can find them for cheap on ebay from china/indonesia.

I was faced with the same decision a few years ago.

If you just want pretty... spend as little as possible
If you want pretty and are willing to pay a premium for it, then spend a bit more and get some functionality as well via the preload adjuster caps

In my search for fork suspension adjustability; I tried to find adjustable fork caps. They were a possibility but requires the tubes to be machined and threaded. Are there solutions I missed? I'd love to have adjustable caps as well as 5 or 10 mm additional tube length!

^ you should be able to find a variety of preload adjusters that work/secure in the stanchion in the same manor as the stock caps. They use the clip and grove method.

the cheapest ones from china on ebay i have seen do use threads but other than those i feel like the ones i see would all work. Some are cheaper than others. here is link to some Sato's that come to mind

I love this forum! Thanks subxero!
Even at my suspension shop surfing the web; nothing came up that fit stock and was adjustable! I'll follow your link.

Keep in mind that the sealed volume of air at the top of your fork affects how the fork functions. If you get cheap adjusters (like the $20 eBay ones from China) that aren't airtight, you'll be causing your forks to not work properly.
