Wind tipped over my 600RR

Well, it looks like the inevitable happened....wind tipped over my 600RR again. The first time, I got lucky as my accord caught it (I was in the car getting ready to pull off). At the time, I had a DOWCO cover with the strap pulled to help prevent some of the "sail" effect. Of course, I changed the direction I parked until I came up with a solution.

A week later, I went to a motorcycle show and purchased one of those GEZA gear covers to help with the parachuting affect. For those that don't know, the GEZA gear cover is designed to fit your bike as opposed to just cover your bike. Running late to work in an attempt to protect my investment, I switched the DOWCO cover to the GEZA gear cover hoping that the bike would not be blown over.

In terms of orientation, I park my bike in between our cars perpendicular to the sidewalk. After coming home from a scotch tasting party with the lady, I pulled up to my house only to see my geza covered 600RR laying in the fetal position on the right side. Killed the buzz quick. This bike was pristine until this happened. I was able to pick it up and couldn't believe just how light the bike really is but I feared this day would still happen. The cover took the brunt of the damage and the frame slider, bar end, and swing arm spool saved the fairings. The rear fender is scratched but my turn signals and exhaust guards are completely smashed and I need to replace with OEM.

No foul play involved. No telling how long it was like that. Absolutely sucks to come home to that. My next investment will be to build motorcycle storage under my deck.

And my GEZA gear cover has holes in it now due to puncture. Never had this issue with the 250R....anyone else experience something like this?

Yea, those 600rr's have little, stubby side stands. You can alter the stand go give it a bit more lean or a wheel chalk may be helpful, movable too!
