What size pilot jets are you guys running?
Currently have size 38, it is a pain to start in the summer, and I don't ride in the winter, has anyone solved this issue with larger pilot jets?

Possibly, my carbs were spotless on the inside so I think I'm gonna try jets first. It doesn't really have a problem starting, just staying running without full choke till its warm

The bike has absolutely zero issues starting in brand-new OEM condition with the exact jets you have. Your difficulty starting would have to do with some non-factory configuration or condition. Most likely uncleared fuel circuits. If the bike's not running perfectly like new, then the carbs aren't perfectly cleaned, simple.

have you set the pilot screws, each cylinder, for highest idle, best response
set with engine fully warmed (after a ride) ??

One of our Ninjas was running pods and a leaky stock exhaust with stock 38s.
Never had any starting issues, even in cold (<40F) temps. If the idle mixture is set correctly there shouldn't be any starting problems unless there are other issues (sync, valves, restrictions, enrichener issues, etc). |
