Viktor Frankl once recommended that the Statue of Liberty on the East Coast of the United States be complemented by a Statue of Responsibility on the West Coast:

Quote:
Freedom, however, is not the last word. Freedom is only part of the story and half of the truth. Freedom is but the negative aspect of the whole phenomenon whose positive aspect is responsibleness. In fact, freedom is in danger of degenerating into mere arbitrariness unless it is lived in terms of responsibleness. That is why I recommend that the Statue of Liberty on the East Coast be supplemented by a Statue of Responsibility on the West Coast.[14]
Reportedly, there are plans to construct such a statue.[15]

Never cared for the Beatles in general, but I've always loved this quote:

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.” ― John Lennon

Because I am hard, you will not like me.
But the more you hate me, the more you will learn.
I am hard but I am fair.
There is no racial bigotry here. I do not look down on cruisers, scooters, sport bikes or tards.
Here you are all equally worthless.
And my orders are to weed out all non-hackers who do not pack the gear to ride on me.
Do you maggots understand that?

Sincerely,

humans have no patience because they are always looking somewhere else for their desires. in the future, in their dreams, in the past, across the fence... the grass is always going to be greener when you're too far away to see the patches. the person who learns to appreciate what is now will never need patience because they are not waiting for something. they are enjoying what they have and making the most out of their time with it.
