Amador County/Nor Cal

Hi all,
New to the forum, and a newer rider. Plenty of past riding experience, but that was 20+ years ago and mostly dirt bikes and scooters. My first 2 long "maiden voyage" rides with my buddies happened recently, and wanted to share, for those that are in Nor Cal and looking for a a really nice area to ride. The roads are a blast whether new or seasoned rider. Amador County (Fiddletown, Plymouth, and tons of other cool towns within miles.). Checking out a map of that immediate area is best. Yesterday a friend and I took a quick ride through Folsom and down Salmon Falls Rd, cut through to Georgetown, the town of Cool, Lotus, and many others in between.
If you're looking for a nice, fun ride, I highly suggest these areas! There are so many amazing spots to ride in Nor Cal, but this is a great start, especially if learning, or re-learning to ride!

Yep, many fun riding roads up in that area. I remember a late night trip to Fiddletown a few years ago for a bonus on the Cal24 rally.

I've been on Salmon Falls road many times. Fun road but be careful, I've heard a lot of riders went down on that road. Cagers tend to drag gravel onto the road when turning in/out of the roads...

But yea NorCal is full of twisties.

My opinion through that area is California forgot what the heck a straight line is, or how to grade a road for that matter. Love the twisty back country roads all around between Hwy 88 and Hwy 49. A friend who lives near Nevada City says you can ride for hours around his place and never be more than 75 miles from his house. I have so much fun chasing him around.

I was introduced to Salmon Falls Rd thanks to one of my witnesses for the end of my Hwy 50 ride. Gave good directions and I had a blast on my way to Colfax to chill.

Plus we were just up on Georgetown Rd last weekend, heading over to Wentworth Springs...

I really need to move back closer to the mountains. *sigh*

Welcome to the forum, neighbor!!
