Will this oil work + Intro

Hi Everyone,

I just picked up a 2013 Ninja 300 ABS.

I'm a new rider and new to motorcycles in general.

I'm located in Ontario Canada if anyone wants to ride.

I have a question regarding if Motul 4T 5100 10W40 will work correctly in the Ninja?

Here's a link to the specs: https://www.motul.com/us/en-US/produ.../5100-4t-10w40

It is a synthetic blend.

Unfortunately my bike did not come with an owners manual or a service manual.

That Motul will be fine for the Ninja.

Many people run Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 diesel oil as an alternative to a more expensive motorcycle-specific oil like Motul.

Both are fine, but the Motul is most likely a better oil in general. You could search the web for an analysis of it if you want to see how it does.

Thank you sir.

You wouldn't happen to have a line on an owners manual and service manual for a 2013 ABS would you?

You're welcome.

You may be able to download a manual somewhere or you may need to buy one directly from Kawasaki.

Interesting. I typically delete links to obviously pirated manuals here; I don't ever want the headache of Kawasaki getting pissy about their copyrighted material on this site. But that link appears to be to a relatively official Kawasaki dealer site within another country, which has left its download area open. I'll keep it for now, but I have a hunch that Kawi might find them at some point and recommend removing direct access to materials that they are selling to the rest of the world.

Lol yeah I actually got that from the 300 forum, they have a bunch of posts about that. That link was the one that worked and and hasn't been removed. Figured he could save the pdf quick before they close it.
