Smile Hello from Ontario

Hey guys! ive been reading this forum for about a year now, and i finally decided to sign up as im about 1 week away from finally being able to buy my 250r! Thanks for all the great info in this forum, i have really learned a lot from here.

I just have a quick question though, the 2009 blue and the 2010 blue are obviously slightly different, i loved the 2009 blue, but im getting a 2010 model. i havent yet seen the 2010 yet (none in stock) but i wanted to know how the colour compares in real life. Does anyone have any real (not promo) pics of a 2010 blue model? thanks guys!

Welcome Keenan - you've been lurking for a year I suppose Alex could arrange a payment plan for the back dues

Glad to have you with us. Looking forward to the pictures of your ride. Be safe and remember ATGATT.

I am new to this whole motorcycle thing, well i had an atv and a dirtbike in the past, but never a road bike. Also i have no idea what ATGATT means lol

As Alex said All The Gear All The Time - as you will hear from many of the members it takes more than just wearing a helmet to be safe. In addition to the helmet motorcycle specific shoes/boots, jacket, paints, and gloves round out the gear. Good shoes/boots not only protect your feet and ankles but give you a good platform to control the bike with. The jacket and paints are for more than when you might go down but on a daily basis protect you from "large" insects, gravel, and other things that can come flying at you as you ride. Same with the gloves. If you go down your natural instinct will be to put a hand out to stop protect yourself. No gloves and you may not have to worry about fingerprints

Also seriously consider taking a motorcycle safety and fundamentals course. MSF course. Usually run over a weekend and take you from non-rider to the basics and feeling comfortable on the bike. Well worth the time and money.

Have fun and we look forward to hearing about your progress.

Welcome from the not so snowy north. Haven't seen the new blue at the local dealer yet. Hard to get past all the snowmobiles in the showroom. Bad winter here 'cause there's little snow. Makes for an early spring hopefully.

Welcome!! Is it 2008 black or 2009? 2008 is flat black, and 2009 is metallic and slightly shimmery.
