nah, I just enjoy my privacy.

I have a rule about my friends on facebook. If I were to see you in real life and I didn't know who you were, then you don't belong on my friends list.

That rule keeps my friends list manageable.

Joining the ninjette group didn't add a single friend to my friends, I still have two.

I was thinking. This might actually come in handy if one had a question he/she might get real time info instead of having to wait for thread replies. More of a discussion.

it doesn't do anything really, just adds people onto your profile. it really isn't a bad thing to let people know you have "virtual friends".

what creepy thread? I want to see it!

The off-topic thread about GM. A bunch of us took time out of our day to bang our heads against the keyboard over something we won't change by arguing on this forum.

There is a certain Representative from N.Y. that's in trouble for doing that while he too was supposed to be working.

Hey Rick,

On your profile pic, is that the A-10 out at England?

When I was around 4-5 and it was still the AFB, my dad took me out there because one of his friends was a pilot or mechanic and they let me sit in the cockpit of an A-10 with the helmet on.

Easily one of my favorite planes of all time. If life had dealt me a better pair of eyes I would have piloted one. Oh well, I deal with A-10s in a different fashion now

Having seen spec Miata races in action - and been on the track with them on track day events I have to disagree with such comments.

I'm tempted to post a video of 2 stock Miatas passing both a Camaro and a Ferrari on the track, but we should probably stop derailing.

Regarding girls on bikes, 5 out of 12 in my MSF BRC were female - one had scooter, another a ninja 250 - I don't believe the others had decided what sort of bike they were going to get yet.

We seem to be heavy on the cruiser side out here and I've only noticed one female sport bike rider on the road so far: she was on a new-gen 250r with what looked to be a custom paint job (silver).

Do I at least get points for being a girl on a bike commenting on how gay Miatas are?

If not, I'm going to the Dragon tomorrow. That's HAWT, right? :-)

I never really paid attention until I started riding a couple of months ago at girls on bikes. I've always noticed girls on back of cruisers or even riding their own cruiser but not really sport bikes. We also live next to a biker bar, so they pass here often. I only know one other girl that rides a gxr, and she has a 600. She downgraded from a Hayabusa. She's not really much taller than me but she is ...um...just built differently. I never really asked her but I don't know how she feels comfortable to ride a big bike but it's inspiring to see her for me because I would like a 600 one day. I've sat on my husband's it's not comfortable. It's heavy and even though it was lowered I still couldn't reach the ground. I've also sat on his zx10 and the tank is sooo freakin huge I'd have to lay on my stomach and chest with my arms stretched out. So, I like my 250 for my petite frame. I think it fits me and I'm comfortable on it. I only wish it had a little more pep and I didn't have to mess with the choke and wait for it to warm up to ride. I did have a moment when I felt really good...went to the biker bar for dinner once and noticed not one girl there rode in on her own. Made me feel a little proud of myself

Jo, have a look at the triumph lineup of bikes, they are pretty thin when compared to the other 600's with wide tanks, ect. ect. Maybe one of those will tickle your fancy.

Girls on bikes rock! Go to a track day and you'll meet more. I was surprised that there were several females riding Little Talledega last weekend and several signed up for Barber this weekend. They are a GREAT group!

Thanks for the info, I'll have to look around at bikes when I'm ready and keep those in mind.

Ally I'd love to try out the track. I think there's one like an hour or more away from me. A guy I worked with who goes was telling me about it, and it sounds awesome. Isn't it expensive, though? I think it was close to or around $1k.

$1k would factor in the one-time purchases such as a leather suit, good boots, and gauntlet gloves. The track fee itself is usually less than $200, depending on which group you ride with. X-act and Sportbike Track Time are 2 I know of.

Old Lemon: we only went up there once to check it out. We were too chicken to ride there...severely outnumbered. We'll have to get a big group to impose on them. The food wasn't that great, but they have fried pickles and that's points for me!

Ally, I'll look into it. It was a quick conversation so I could have misunderstood. Lol certainly wouldn't be the first time for me.

Just got back from taking pics on the zx10 I wanted to see how I look on it. It doesn't look big for me but it seems like it on it. That tank is so wide!

Lol if you go to the backside it's not as crowded and there's seating. Out front is where you see all the activity and HDs. I do know they close the entrance off so no cars can get in at all so you have no choice but to ride in...when I went I had flashbacks of Pee Wees Big Adventure Movie with Tequila playing in my head.
