Carbs in the ultrasonic

Hi,
Would simply dunking my carbs with bowls off in the ultrasonic for carb cleaning be a bad idea? I would spray them down with compressed air afterwards but I wouldnt disconnect any of the lines once the carbs are off. Anyone done this before?

With these carbs, that is not likely to get them completely clean.

First off...removal of all internal components required. I prefer splitting the carbset and replacing ALL orings, bowl orings and float valves as well, thereby wet testing and the process of resetting fuel levels are required as well...otherwise known as a REFURB.

Will start with the choke and throttle but lugs until it warms up a little and can rev up, havent had it running for very long (over 20 mins) before, still gotta get registered so i can do a longer test. Revved to 10k on the longest test I did so not worried about main jet

Out of spec valves will cause erratic running when the engine is cold. If your valves need adjusting you'll chase carb problems forever.

Yeah no doubt, its clattering bad too. One thing at a time, I've got plenty of time until its warm again.

Havent checked the valves yet, might take it in for that
