2008 Ninja 250r Turn Signal Connector locations
If this has been posted before, I couldn't find it and I'm sorry. I am trying to install the Scorpio i900 alarm and cannot seem to find which connectors are the turn signals. I figured they'd be near the license plate light connector that I also have to use but they don't seem to be. Anyone know where they are?

I found 2 plugs. One is gray with a black/yellow wire and a white or gray wire
And the other is a black plug with a green wire and a black/yellow wire. Are these the right plugs? They are under the seat. |

There's 2 under the seat & 1 behind each fairing panel on the front. I can't remember off the top of my head what colour the rear ones are, but the front are grey & black IIRC.

I'm going to install it on Monday. Its supposed to be the best alarm out there so I think I will like it. Now that I know where the connectors are, I think its a pretty simple install. Did you get the factory harness?

Yeap, got the factory harness. It was only $15 or so. I think it would have been an easy install even without it but I decided it will be cleaner if I just get the harness.
I believe I still have to cut one wire for the ignition disabling module. Haven't figured out which one yet but I should be able to figure it out from the wiring diagrams. |

Ok, thanks! That would be awesome. If its not too much trouble could you also post pics of the turn signal connectors? I am not 100% sure I am looking at the right ones.

Yeah, I am on a business trip about 1000km from my bike so I haven't been able to work on it and install the alarm. When I get back I will look into it and I will take pics of the ignition disabling module install.

so I am a little ticked off....This is off-topic... I looked into to it and I though Scorpio is an American company that designs real American goods..... No... The alarm is designed by some guys over in Hong Kong..They just sell it here...

All the credit goes to:
http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=41076 (I did a search before looking at the wiring diagram for too long ) Looking at the wiring diagram tho, I would have done the same thing. He taps into the Engine Stop Switch signal wire (the red button). It is the Brown wire with a black strip located on the connector of the Ignition module. PS, wait till I install it cause I want to check one more thing. Not 100% yet |

The Ignition Module gets +12V from two separate wires: BR/BK and GY. If they are not connected on the inside and they are used for 2 separate functions this should work.

Just verified . If the engine is running and you cut that wire it will continue running. If the engine is off , and you cut it, it won't start. I will trace the wire and cut it somewhere before it goes into the engine stop switch but after the ignition module so it shuts off the engine even when the engine is running.

And finally the picture you were looking for.
I cut the cable at this location because it seemed like this is the first spot where it is separated from the rest of the system. The cable is brown with a black stripe through the whole bike. You have 2 options: 1) Cut it at the ignition module -> This will prevent the engine from starting. It will crank but it won't start. The engine WILL keep running if it is already running. 2) Cut at the location shown in the picture -> In this case it just acts like the Engine Stop(cutoff) switch. It is a little bit less safe then cutting at the engine module so I would suggest soldering the wires and insulating them properly. The relay used in the Scorpio alarm is a NC relay eg. if the alarm is missing or not functioning for some reason the engine WILL work. The alarm needs to specifically power the relay in order for the engine to be cut off. |
