March 10th trackday at Talladega?

If we were to organize a Marietta Motorsports trackday on March 10th, who would go?

And, by "Marietta Motorsports trackday," I mean:

Small groups, usually no more than 15-18 on track at a time
Free lunch from Jersey Mike's of Kennesaw, drinks, and snacks
Pictures by Raul Jerez of Highside Photography
Plenty of instruction available, but not mandatory
Incredibly good-looking control riders (except for John)

Nobody I know (who isn't actually racing) is going to Daytona until later in the week. Bike Week is a joke.

I guess the Supercross, the Flat Track , the Supersport and Superstock, and the Superbike races don't compare to riding a 250 at Little Tally.

I'm just joking, real professional racing sucks. All you really need is track days and dreams about doing a club race to pretend to be a real fast guy.

For those of you who ARE planning on being there, let me know as soon as you can. There are open slots in all the groups, but the novice group is on pace to fill up much sooner than the intermediate and advanced.

In other news, last weekend's WERA racers cleaned up all the debris and laid down some grippy rubber at little Tally, which should make for a perfect track surface.

I hope it fills up for you Ed, unfortunately I had to decide between the WERA practice day at Roebling and the MarMo event...

I only have 8 lap total at RRR, and those were in cars during Onelap....

I do most of the organizing for the trackdays, yes. We predominantly go to Talladega, but have also done Roebling in the past.

TRACK DAY UPDATE!

As of right now (not quite 1:00), I have a few slots open in all groups. We're approaching the maximum number of riders that I like to take, but haven't quite hit it yet. As you can see, the weather is going to be gorgeous. If your your bike needs tires or service, we can get it sorted tomorrow or Saturday. If you need leathers and wear a size 42, I have an extra set you can borrow. If you're worried, go check out Huey's trackday vids on youtube.

Sooooo, if you want excuses, I can't help you out.

If you want in on the first MarMo trackday of the year, give me a call at the shop (770 425 5252), and we'll get you there.

Best trackday we've ever had. Perfect weather, completely full but great groups, and only 3-4 small getoffs all day. They were all in Novice, and nobody had any injuries beyond bumps and bruises. Only one guy packed up early because of a crash (at 3 pm). Superfast advanced group; nobody was running slower than 1:02.

3 of the other control riders challenged me to EX250 grudge matches, and I went 3-0, so it was a great one, haha.
