Electric drag bike FAIL

Link to original page on YouTube.

I searched prior to posting since it's an old video but nothing came up when I was looking. Hopefully not a repost.

Skip to the 1:00 mark if you want to save yourself a minute of boredom.

Youch! I think it is an oldie but goodie. The only thread I can find that references it is this one, but that's more about electric bikes in general...

Amazing that he had the intelligence to invent that bike, but that same mind decided it was a good idea to do a burn out... without gear... on a 350HP drag-bike, directly after saying "you know I've seen someone killed on a drag strip; it's the most dangerous motor-sport"

Must have done wonders for the image of the bike too:
Guy in blue T: "It got away from you there."
Inventor: "It actually stuck on."

40k invested
+ 7k damages
-----
47k total

remembering to put on the 79cent kill switch tether - priceless

hope he was alright

EDIT: i know the tether wouldn't have helped him... he stayed on the bike until impact

Strange crash. I wonder if he'd ever ridden a motorcycle before.

Everything about that bike is the antithesis of what I want. You couldn't pay me $39,000 to take it. That video is like a train wreck....you just can't look away.
