Nice easy lowside courtesy of a cager asshole.
Was coming home from a job interview a few weeks ago, Coming down the road to my turn in for my apartment complex, signal on, moving to turn lane, WARNING asshole in Honda comes out of no where no signal didn't even glance in the mirrors. I hit the brakes while bike is still in a bit of a lean and down she goes. Gear does its job I am fine, but people saw the accident and wouldn't let me move or get up to check my bike. Police show up along with EMTs, I'm fine finally get to check my bike, some light rash on the lower cowling and exhaust. Move my bike to the side of the road cop comes over asking for my info, tells me he is giving me a ticket for failure to control.....$129....damn couldn't let the fact my bike is rashed be enough.

Isabelle, it's kinda a blanket law in OH. If a driver crashes a car, truck or bike and there is damage. The cop is required to issue a failure citation. Now, I have seen this a few times... if there is NOT any damage, no ticket. Who knows, that rash could have already been there. Catch my drift....

I'm kinda ticked off at all these bystanders who were around long enough to coddle you while the cause of the accident zipped off, but apparently not long enough to tell the officer that it wasn't you who failed to control.
