lol RGB (Red Blue Green) used to create whatever color you like, addressable means you can turn each LED their own color.

Non-Addressable:

Thanks for fixing the links lol, never works for me using the [youtube] coding. If you want to get that deep into it, each color Red, Blue and green has an integer range from 0 to 255 where 0 is no color and 255 is that color fully intensified. By adjusting these values you mix the three colors to create the color you want. Plenty more to go into but that's the jest of it.

Thats awesome.

I have seen the million color kit for 214$
so I thought the entire strip had to be one color. I didn't realize that each LED can be grouped to have different colors simultaneously

How does the control differentiate between individual LED?
How large of an LED array can a control operate!

I will need to learn more ! you are the master!

His DJ booth does light shows, it's covered in LEDs, and costs like half a million dollars.haha

Good stuff! Let us know how it goes... I could live with a sweet neon setup for cheap!

I found the same controller and LEDs as the Million setup.
Same remote and all.
but for 44 bucks on ebay. it only comes with 6 strips but I can add more later.

so much cheaper than 214 bucks.

I can buy a roll of RGB and make a couple more strips . I will just have to read up on the power supply to see how much it can power.

I will post a video after Christmas when I install it on my GFs 300

Lol it uses pwm modulation and by sending the correct signal widths you can address which ever LED you choice (Similar method to what you IR TV remote does). The longer the array the more current will be needed thus higher consumption of Power.

The Ebay kit I ordered worked nice!
Gave it to my gf yesterday for christmas.
i only got one with 6 LED strips

18 LED x2
12 x2
6 x2

if i remember correctly.... we tested it out with a battery
ordering more of them for my friends and family ... basically super cheap accent lighting with a remote! any color with one kit.

funfun
