Paint Scheme Mock-up

This is a mock-up paint scheme I put together in photoshop. I already plasti-dipped the bottom of the rear fairing (as seen in the photo) - it is matte black. I will be using plasti-dip initially on the other fairing(s) to see how I like it.
I'm not looking to go overboard with the stuff, just something to break up the all-blue look.

Any feedback/recommendations welcome.

Edit:
After painting! (plastidipping, technically)

As long as the base color of the bike is blue, anything else on it looks good. Juss sayin.

Yeah, I just realized that the mock-up I did is similar :P I just followed the natural lines of the fairings

I like the design, but I'm not a huge fan of the black and blue even though that is the original theme of the bike. Maybe try grey or silver or something?

For these bikes I think the one color is the best for the fairings. I had an 08 green, then replaced the fairings with the 09 SE fairings because they were rashed on one side from the previous owner. I miss the plain green. I have a feeling you'll end up pulling the decals after a little while, but thats one of the pros of doing decals as opposed to paint. Cool to switch it up every once in a while.

Well, I'm not doing decals...I'm using plasti-dip right now (rubberized spray paint) but it will peel up when I want.

Here is some random stuff.

I like the second one only with the grey from the first one as opposed to the white/light grey/silver. That looks real cool. Unique.

The more black you put on your bike the faster it will be. Just FYI

I'm telling you, that's the reaason why my black ninja gives 1000cc 'busas a run for their money.

The original phrase was: Once you go black (on a ninjette) , you're gonna wanna take you Hayabusa back (to the dealer).

I used the "flash spray" method, since I had a lot taped off & had to remove the tape while it was wet. But it probably is about 4 regular coats

Looks good! I like how it came out like a dark grey to match the "black" plastics under the seat. The Photoshop was just too black.

I agree, it definitely looks better than the Photoshop.

Keep us updated on the durability of it after riding (leg wear and dirt) and washing.

How was it peeling back the over spray? I may give this stuff a try.

Will do. So far, there hasn't been any blemishing, including on the tail pieces after locking my helmet there & removing it several times.

As for removing the tape...I actually screwed up a couple of times...the first time, I let it dry a little too long & it pulled up the edge & wasn't a straight line, then while pulling up the tape, some excess hanging tape fell on the still wet plasti dip & messed it up.

If you do use it, I recommend electrical tape, you can bend it around the curves & use one long piece, instead of lots of small pieces of painter's tape.
Thanks!
