Question [FIXED] Brake light works, but doesn't work =/

Hey gang,
I just picked up an '09 last night.
it is in excellent condition except for the front right blinker that is busted from it tipping over. One big issue though. The brake light doesn't fully work. It turns on and is illuminated, but when I use either brake it doesn't get brighter. I have not checked the bulb yet, but really think it may be a disconnected wire that triggers the bulb to its brighter filament.
Any thoughts, tips, or a wiring diagram available?
Thanks!

The bulb has two filaments. Odds are you just need a new bulb.

What Alex said. The odds of you needing a new bulb because the brake light filament broke and the tail light is still working is much higher than a rat ate through your brake light wire and left everything else in tact.

The tail and brake light typically use the same connector, making it that much more unlikely that you are having a wiring-related issue.

I changed the brake bulb with two others that work properly in my other bike.
Still not working correctly. When I depress either brake, the light just stays the same.
What are the chances one of the switches are stuck?
I am gonna go check to see if both filaments are illuminated when on. BRB....

You should be able to look at the filaments in the bulb to see if both are lighting up. If they are, one of the switches is stuck.

Problem fixed. The rear brake spring thing was unscrewed too much activating the switch.
While I had the rear light out of the socket, I replaced it with a 27LED red light =)
No time wasted =)

Thanks again with the help on this matter!
