H7 bulb
A friend of mine recently brought these 65w H7 bulbs for his bike from rally lights (Susquehanna Motorsports). Will these be okay in our bikes, not mess up wiring or anything? I'm looking for nice bright bulbs for safe riding with out dishing out the money for HID Kit.

Yeah I threw away my HIDs and switched over to Philips Xtreme Power bulbs recently, I like having a functional hi-beam and being respectful to other drivers.
They're around $30 a pair and there are rebates available: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-X-trem...lips+xtreme+h7 As stated above, I wouldn't get HIDs without getting a proper retrofit or projector setup which is something most people won't do, they'll get a cheap HID kit and throw it in the stock halogen housing. |

I would go with the Philips bulb since they're the only ones that spelled "Lumens" correctly.

You've already got most of the parts since you have an HID kit that you took out. You'll just need a projector, a bulb for it, and potentially an adapter if you choose to use a D2S projector and D2S bulb. Cheap. |

Oh! Sorry NJfinest50, we got on a tangent there (happens a lot here, I'm very guilty of it). Your bulb looks like a 65w Halogen H7 bulb to me
I was responding to menikmati about him taking an HID kit off of his bike and saying he should have kept the low beam side HID and used a projector along side the standard Halogen high |

sorry I got a little confused. I'm going to try the bulb and also order a set of motovisons (http://cyclegear.com/eng/product/mot...ulb/web1005526). I will let everyone know how the Osram bulb works out from rallylights.com.
As a side note from my research the H7 is a Tungsten-halogen single-filament bulb. |
